The Committee of Bar Examiners at the High Court of the Canton of Bern is responsible for the legal training related to the bar admission process and the bar examination in Bern. Graduates of the M Law program at the University of Bern are generally able to sign up for the bar admission process in other Swiss cantons. However, each canton has its own internship/practicum requirements, so students must contact these authorities directly for more information.
Anyone attending courses at the Faculty of Law as part of the continuing legal education necessary to be admitted to practice must be enrolled at the University of Bern. For registration, contact the Admissions Office (ZIB).
